Class 3 have been learning all about how sounds travel this week in science. We found out that sounds are made when objects and
materials vibrate. To test this theory we conducted lots of scientific experiments where we are able to see these vibrations for ourselves: rice on a drum skin; twanging elastic bands; putting tuning forks in water; and clamping rulers to our desks and pulling down on them. We loved investigating how these various objects make vibrations which create sounds.
