School Celebrates Ofsted Success
A Staffordshire school is celebrating after being rated ‘outstanding’ in 4 out of 5 areas by Ofsted. Inspectors attended Anson CE Primary School in Great Haywood in November 2023.
The school was praised for having “a warm, family atmosphere, where everyone ‘believes and achieves’ together.” The report went on to say “ This is a successful, well-led school, where pupils and staff flourish.”
HMI Lead inspector Corinne Dakin, said “The school has the highest expectations for all…Pupils feel that school is safe and free from bullying.”
The school was deemed ‘outstanding’ in the four categories:

Behaviour and attitudes - ‘Pupils’ behaviour and attitudes are exceptional.’

Personal development - ‘ Pupils have many and varied opportunities to contribute to the life of the school and the wider community.’

Leadership and management - ‘Leadership and management are exceptional.’

Early years provision - ‘Children thrive in the outstanding early years.’
Headteacher Ms Nicola Jarret said she was delighted by the report’s findings.
