Here are some of the events a clubs that we are participating in over the next few months.

We aim to enrich our pupils' experience by introducing and improving a wide range of skills.

At Anson we strive to ensure that children have a variety of after school clubs that they can attend. Please see the document attached which outlines the afterschool clubs we are currently holding.

After School Club

Anson’s ‘World of Wonder!’ (WOW!) Days

As part of our curriculum development, we hold a special learning day at the end of each half term. All the pupils work in small groups within a particular curriculum area for the whole day. The idea is to give everyone a greater opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills to a wider learning concept. The theme for our last ‘WOW!’ day was France so we could immerse ourselves on French culture . We have also had an African themed day, a 'fireworks folly' theme and also a 'Countries around the world' day. Our next one will be all about e-safety!

At the end of the Autumn term, Chaplins Pantomine come in to perform a panto to our whole school. Everyone agreed it is a wonderful occasion (oh no it isn't!) and it is only possible because of the contribution of the PTFA towards the cost.

Young Voices

For the past 3 years, Anson Primary School choir, which is made up of pupils from years 3, 4, 5 and 6, have been hard at work learning songs and dances ready for a performance of a lifetime. In January,  pupils travel by coach to Birmingham to join the spectacular Young Voices event at the Genting Arena, part of the NEC.

Young Voices is designed to bring together children from across the region, boost their confidence and provide lifelong memories for them and their families. Pupils practice the dance routines and learn the songs, in the after school choir club, for many months before they come together for the main show in their nearest arena.

For all of us, it was the children who are the stars!  They put in hours of practice and rehearsals before the big day, which are much appreciated.
