This week in Class 1 our Literacy focus was the stroy The Jolly Postman. This led us to explore a new occupation of Postal Workers. After exploring our new text in Literacy, we learnt all about the journey of a letter in our Topic lesson. We saw what happens to a letter after it is posted in a post box and how it gets all the way to the house it is intended for. 

After exploring what Post Offices and delivery centers look like we created our own Anson Post Office in our classroom. We sorted mail, wrote our own letters, weighed and stamped parcels! We talked about the different types of post we may receive through our own letter boxes, so when you next have a delivery please do look at the stamps/barcodes/address with your child so they can explore this further!
