Today, we shared our first RE session in class 1 and we focused on talking about why we share prayers in class throughout the day and how we pray. We spent some time looking at the different items on our prayer table and noticed that we had lots of stones on our prayer table. The children enjoyed hearing that these stones are special stones as they are our prayer stones, which we can hold when we share our prayers.
All the children enjoyed holding their prayer stone and could feel it warming up as they held them carefully in their hands.
For our first RE activity, the children decorated their prayer stone using paint and cotton buds and then made them extra special with a sprinkling of glitter. How brilliant do they look!
