This week, we have continued to explore numbers up to 20 and have got amazing at recognising what each teen number is made up of using our numicon.

This afternoon we had a fantastic maths lesson outside using our bodies. We warmed up with a counting activity and then played a game. When Mrs Philp shouted ‘Cone’, the children had to go to one of the cones with friends and then count how many hands, legs or ears were there in total.

Afterwards, the children worked in groups to practise both their counting and teen number representation. There were different challenges activity stations at 10 cones and the children had to choose a cone, recognise the number shown by the numicon and perform the correct number of the action at that cone.

Super work Class 1!
