The ethos of the repair cafe is to utilise existing skills within the community to help extend the life of household items, thereby encouraging a circular economy, optimising the use of resources already in use and minimising waste to landfill. There is also a strong wellbeing benefit for repair volunteers and increased community cohesion. As such, we have been working with Waste Savvy Staffs, Support Staffordshire and the parish council who have been very supportive in helping make this project a reality.
