Welcome to Anson CE Primary. Please take a few minutes to browse our website - where you can learn more about our outstanding school.

Since our OFSTED inspection, the high quality of teaching we offer continues to be recognised through a variety of awards This includes the Basic Skills award for standards in literacy and numeracy. The Diocese of Lichfield has also recognised Anson as outstanding for the provision of its Christian character, leadership, collective worship and quality of RE.

Because of our belief in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, the school has also achieved Healthy school status and is recognised as a 'Fairaware' school. Anson has also received a Silver Artsmark, a Silver music award and the Silver Award as an Eco-school. To achieve gold status, we must now use our skills and knowledge to support the work of other schools - an opportunity which being part of The Small Schools Multi-Academy Trust will provide.

These reflect only a small part of the broad and exciting curriculum we offer in a learning environment which really gives each pupil the best possible start to school life as confident, independent learners.

At Anson, pupils learn how to work with others and by themselves, being able to plan their own learning towards identified goals. They will be able to identify their own progress and to join in decision-making using their own observations. Pupils are taught to accept their own shortcomings and recognise their own capabilities in order to develop tolerance and knowledge of their own selves. They will be able to work in a sustained way with commitment, enjoyment and pride.

The school has high expectations of all pupils regardless of ability and gender. We aim to instill our pupils with a sense of responsibility to their peer group, the school and their community as a whole. We celebrate considerate and helpful behaviour towards others and we place a great emphasis on the personal, social, spiritual and health education of our pupils.

The school aims to enable everyone to become a responsible, happy and tolerant citizen in order to prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life in our rapidly changing society.

I hope you enjoy visiting our website.
